I optimized a client's landing page by converting their animated product demo to WebP — smaller files, smoother animation. Then their social media manager asked for a thumbnail for the Instagram post. WebP is not supported by Instagram. I used our animated WebP frame extractor and had a static PNG thumbnail in seconds.
Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn — none of them render animated WebP in posts or previews. You need a static PNG. Extract the first frame and you have your thumbnail. Extract frames now →
