Canva accepts PNG, JPEG, and SVG — but not WebP. A client sent me their brand assets as WebP and could not import them into Canva for their social media templates. I converted everything to PNG with our WebP graphic converter and the sharp edges and flat colors came through perfectly.
WebP lossy compression creates ringing artifacts around sharp edges and adds noise to flat color areas. Logos and UI elements look worse than photos after WebP compression. Converting back to PNG stops further degradation. Convert your graphics →
